A lot has happened in the three years since we last saw the Dobek family. Pat (Molly Shannon) graduated from talk show host to Oprah-like mogul with her own television network, which airs shows like Curtain Disasters with Maria Menounos. Her youngest son, Chase Dreams (Case Walker), is a superstar whose music career has been put on the back burner. Chase is also busy with his side projects, like a nail polish line (how Harry Styles him), and navigating the challenges of reaching adulthood in the entertainment industry.
And what about the “other two,” Carrie (Drew Tarver) and Brooke (Helen York)? No longer on the sidelines, these two have been successful in their own right, Brooke as a talent manager and Carey as an actor. As the season opens, the entire family supports Carrie at his movie premiere night nursewhich we learn has had “the most COVID delays of any movie.”
Season 3 of the other two It is by no means “COVID season,” but it uses the time jump to show how people’s priorities changed during the height of the COVID pandemic. Characters like Lance (Josh Segara) have taken time to refocus on “doing good” – something that stresses Brooke as she wonders if her career is meaningless.

And she’s not the only Dubeks member who’s been experiencing some anxiety. Pat’s new levels of fame mean that she is constantly monitored for her well-being. Unable to experience any kind of normalcy, her relationship with Streeter (Ken Marino) begins to sour. Meanwhile, Curry struggles to find new roles and stay relevant as an actor. These conflicts lead to some the other twoThe most introspective moments yet, as well as some of the most bizarre storylines.

the other two He’s often played with the genre before, but never really quite reached the level of what we see in Season 3. The entertainment industry becomes an even more surreal landscape, where elaborate espionage and paranormal disappearances are the norm.
Season 3 also delivers a number of flawlessly executed parodies PleasantvilleAnd Romeo + JulietAnd Love, Victor, For example but not limited to. One of the best episodes of the show to date runs almost entirely throughout Angels in America– Skateboarding. You wouldn’t think all of these pieces would come together, but thanks to Charm the other two and its killer team-up, as they do, giving us a third season that is somehow better than its already exceptional predecessors.
