Plexamp, the music player from Plex, now works with ChatGPT for playlist creation and reports pleasant. This made me curious, and I spent most of the morning using ChatGPT-4 to create playlists. Among other things, I asked him to create a list of the 10 most essential heavy metal songs, great music to work on, and most nostalgic songs from 2004.
I also asked ChatGPT-4 to create a list of the top 5 songs about startups, and… I’ll be damned, not only did they create the list of songs, but they also made it clear Why Every song has a meaning on this list. I’m not going to lie, this thing constantly surprises me. Below is the list, and I have converted it into a handy Spotify playlist, Apple Music playlist, and YouTube playlist for you as well.
- “Started from the Bottom” by DrakeThe lyrics of this song about starting from scratch and working your way up fit the journey of many startups striving for success.
- “Lose Yourself” by Eminem: The intensity and drive found in the lyrics of this song can be representative of the dedication and focus required to build a successful startup.
- “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi: This anthem about controlling one’s own destiny and seizing opportunities fits into the mindset of many entrepreneurs who start their own businesses.
- “Don’t Stop Believing” by JourneyThis classic path is a reminder to startup founders to keep believing in their vision, even when the road to success may be challenging.
- “Eye of the Tiger” by SurvivorAs a symbol of tenacity and resilience, this song has become an anthem for those who face adversity and push to achieve their goals, just like the spirit of a startup founder.
OK, enough of the music-inspired crap. Here’s more startup news for you:
Ask Sophie: Will I be allowed to enter the US if my passport expires in 5 months?

dear sophie,
I founded a startup in Zimbabwe a few years ago. I planned to visit the US for the first time next month to check out the market and applied for a visitor visa.
I plan to stay in the US for two months, but I just realized that my passport expires in September. I understand that I need at least six months left on my passport in order to travel to the United States.
Is this (still) true? Do I need to postpone my flight?
Hope in Harare
