In a now viral TikTok trend, users are taking to a clip from Tyler, the Creator’s 2016 “Greatest Cooking Show Ever” video to express their frustration with the boycott.
In the YouTube video, Tyler, the Creator makes Eggo Pancakes with Cinnamon Butter, and his co-host interrupts with her own comment.
He says, “Uh, I’m not done.”
And he adds, “First, my God, will you allow me to do what I need.”
Now, TikTokers are taking this CapCut and using it to describe all the ways they were rudely interrupted: Shopping at the pet store and looking at every fish(Opens in a new tab)And Arguing with a partner(Opens in a new tab)And Looking at the IKEA display(Opens in a new tab)etc.
To do this direction, you have to use a file CapCut(Opens in a new tab) app, an app also owned by TikTok subsidiary ByteDance. Once you’ve finished downloading, there are two ways you can take part in Tyler, the Creator’s “will you let me do what I need to do” direction.
How to use the CapCut application to select a template
1. Find your template directly in the CapCut app
Click the magnifying glass at the top right of the screen in CapCut to search for the Tyler, the Creator “will you let me do what I need to do” direction template. write in “outages(Opens in a new tab)Click Template, then choose the Tyler template you’d like to use.

2. Create your video
Now, choose Use Template at the bottom right of the screen, create your TikTok, download it to your device, and upload it to the TikTok app.

The other way to join this trend — or any TikTok trend that uses CapCut — is to find a video editing template directly from the TikTok video you want to emulate. You can do that quite easily.

Click the “CapCut” button above the username and under the “Repost” option on TikTok videos. Once you click on the CapCut button, it will ask you if you want to use the template in CapCut. Click Yes, and the application will open directly in the CapCut form.
The interrupts template has been used over 54,000 times, and it’s not the only trend on CapCut TikTok making the rounds. A lot of trends are based on CapCut now, including this trend of Tyler and The Creator, as well as that of John Cena or Pedro Pascal eating a remarkably crunchy sandwich.
