It’s hard to think of multi-room audio without first thinking of Sonos. It’s the industry leader, and its speakers let you listen to music throughout your home over a stable Wi-Fi connection, rather than relying on spotty Bluetooth. The company has expanded its lineup over the years – incl The new Era 100 and Era 300 speakers Earlier this spring – and now submits a Wide range of speakersfrom external and desktop speakers to amplifiers and subwoofers.
Sonos has always been known for its excellent sound quality, and the latest S2 OS supports high-resolution audio standards like Dolby Atmos. Wi-Fi playback is compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect, plus Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands, so you can send audio directly without having to use the Sonos app. Plus, Sonos portable speakers add versatility with Bluetooth on.
Despite the variety of Sonos speakers, one thing remains constant: a dearth of deals. Its speakers are rarely discounted. There is usually little Speaker sets for sale On Sonos if you’re looking for a multi-speaker setup. For example, you can save $30 on the Roam and Move combo or save $20 for a pair of Roam speakers. When you double up on Sonos’ new smart indoor speakers, the Era 300, you can save $45. It has six drivers and support for Dolby Atmos spatial audio. It’s the most advanced speaker in the Sonos lineup.
This speaker set allows you to use two Roam speakers together for stereo sound, and you can separate the pair and use each separately in different places in your home or over Bluetooth on the go. When you buy together, you get $20 off.

The new Sonos Era 100 replaces the Sonos One as the company’s indoor smart speaker. It costs $30 more than the one, but in our estimation the extra cost is easily justified. In fact, in our review, we declared the Era 100 the best smart speaker for the money. It offers three improvements from One. The first two additions add variety. The One lets you stream over Wi-Fi only, and the Era 100 adds Bluetooth and a line-in port (via USB-C) for even more playback versatility. Thirdly, and most importantly, an era of 100 looks better than an era of one. It’s a bit larger than one and packs in side speakers for stereo sound.

The Sonos Era 300 features an all-new design and slots as the company’s flagship smart indoor speaker. It’s much larger than the Sonos Era 100 and includes Dolby Atmos spatial audio support along with dedicated stereo drivers and speakers. It also features a built-in calibration procedure called Quick Tune that uses the built-in “smart” microphones, in addition to the existing iOS Trueplay.
Sonos One combines speaker intelligence with sound quality and affordability. It supports both Alexa and Google Assistant and boasts a bigger, fuller sound than almost any other smart speaker. It also supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth playback, which gives it some use, even if you don’t leave it outside. Although it was replaced by the new Era 100 amplifier, it is not discounted and still sells at full price.

The Sonos Arc is one of the best soundbars you can buy. Unlike the Beam, the Arc is packaged in a built-in subwoofer. Although it costs hundreds more than Beam, you don’t need to buy a separate subwoofer for window shake.

The Roam is the smallest speaker in the Sonos lineup. It’s weatherproof and earns the Roam moniker for its ability to automatically switch between Wi-Fi when you’re at home and Bluetooth when you’re roaming. You can bark voice commands at it via Alexa or the Google Assistant when the speaker is on your Wi-Fi network. And we found that it produces impressive sound for a speaker of its size. The SL version of the Roam ignores the microphone and costs $20 less than the regular Roam. It’s a good choice if you want to save money or have privacy concerns about Amazon or Google listening to you inside your home.
The second generation of Beam is a built-in soundbar with Dolby Atmos technology that makes movies sound massive with its virtual surround capabilities. It’s also a smart speaker with Alexa and Google Assistant.

For amazing bass in music and explosions in movies that you want to be able to not only hear but feel, add the Sonos Sub to your setup. It connects easily and wirelessly via Wi-Fi and will complement your home theater sound by handling low frequencies.
The SL skips the microphone and Amazon and Google voice commands, and so costs less than the Sonos One.
The Move is Sonos’ largest portable smart speaker. It offers the same Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as the Roam and is also weatherproof for indoor and outdoor use. It’s much larger than the Roam and costs more than twice as much, but it also produces a bigger sound with better bass.

The Five is a great Wi-Fi desktop speaker. It does not have Bluetooth connectivity or an internal voice assistant. It can be placed horizontally for stereo sound and switches to mono when seated vertically. With the 3.5mm audio jack, you can connect a turntable, CD player, or other device directly to the Five.
