The Xiaomi 13 Ultra remains the most popular phone in our database, a week after its launch. It’s obviously got people’s attention — but most people don’t rush out the door to get one. Last week’s survey showed that despite its elite pedigree, the phone should prove itself in reviews.
Is he really the king of the camera? We’re in the process of finding out. Its predecessor, the 12S Ultra, earned a place in our hearts, but its limited availability left it unpopular with most fans around the world. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is different, as it is a global phone, even if the company hasn’t detailed its rollout plans yet.
The new Ultra went on sale in China last week with a starting price of CNY 6,000 for a 12/256 GB unit. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed global pricing yet, but we can take a look at the 13 Pro for comparison — the 12/256GB unit has an MSRP of CNY5,000 in China and €1,300 in Germany. The X solution reveals that the 13 Ultra should be around 1,560 euros.
That’s pricey, but can you really put a price on the photos you’ll take with its 50MP quad cameras? Of course, this is not the only phone with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, so just over 40% of voters are waiting for detailed reviews to find out if the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is the phone to be entrusted with taking cherished family photos.
Smaller group already made up and just waiting on the phone to get to their area. For the first group, they might not have much choice if they want a primary camera phone — the Oppo Find X6 Pro and vivo X90 Pro+ don’t get a global rollout and those are two of the Ultra’s main competitors.
