What you need to know

  • Developer Team Beef has created a VR version of the classic Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast for the Meta Quest platform.
  • This download is free, however, you will need to own a copy of Jedi Knight II to use it.
  • Jedi Knight II is on sale on Steam for $3.49 through May 4, but you’ll need to sideload the game on Quest to use it.

Looking to play a VR Star Wars game that’s a little better than games like Vader Immortal or Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge? Developer Team Beef has your back, and thanks to the Star Wars sale on Steam, you can pick up the classic Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast on Quest today for just $3.49 through May 4th.

As you might imagine, there’s a small caveat to this process: you’ll have to sideload Jedi Knight II into your quest to play it in VR. If you haven’t done so yet, here’s how to install SideQuest on your headphones (Opens in a new tab). This game runs entirely on Quest 2 (Opens in a new tab) Or Quest Pro, so you won’t need a computer to play it, but you will need one to set it up.
